Public Deliverable 3.2 Report on Methodology Framework for the Training Curriculum

The MedLit project has reached another important milestone with the publication of its Methodology Framework for the Training Curriculum.

As misinformation, medication misuse, and vaccine hesitancy continue to affect public health across Europe, there is a growing need for educational tools that help people access, understand, and use health information with confidence.

The new report outlines the methodology that will guide the development of MedLit’s training programme, ensuring that learning materials are not only evidence-based but also practical, inclusive, and responsive to the real needs of learners.

Drawing on research findings and insights gathered through focus groups in Germany, Greece, Cyprus, and Poland, the framework identifies the key factors that influence health-related decision-making, including trust in healthcare professionals, communication, social influences, emotional barriers, and access to reliable information.

These insights have been translated into a six-module curriculum that will support adult educators, patients, carers, parents, and older adults in strengthening their medication and vaccination literacy.

The report marks an important step towards the creation of MedLit’s online learning platform and contributes to the project’s broader goal of promoting safer medication use and improved health literacy across Europe.
