Public Deliverable on Theoretical Foundation & Co-created Training Design now available

We’re happy to share the publication of MedLit’s latest report on the theoretical foundation and co-created training design of the project.

Following the publication of the previous deliverable on the EU and country-level review of medication and vaccination literacy, the MedLit project now releases its next report under Work Package 2.

This deliverable builds directly on earlier findings, moving from analysis to design. While the previous report focused on identifying key gaps and needs among target groups, the current one establishes the theoretical foundation and outlines the co-created design of the MedLit training programme.

The report explores the current the current state of medication and vaccination literacy across Europe, focusing on key challenges such as safe use of medicines, vaccine literacy & hesitancy, antimicrobial resistance. It provides valuable insights for developing effective interventions to improve health outcomes across the region.

Drawing on both research and co-creation activities with adult educators, patients, carers, and other target groups, the report defines the core structure, thematic areas, and methodological approach of the training. It ensures that the programme is evidence-based, inclusive, and tailored to real-world needs.

The training will address critical topics such as the safe use of medicines, vaccine literacy, antimicrobial resistance, and informed health decision-making.
